    For case 1, how would you initially book the discount. Would you actually book the discount for years 2 – 4? What would be the journal entries for years 3 and 4.

    Hello, I am Molly Singer. I am a financial consultant to NPOs. I work with a variety of organizations – most of them focused on climate issues. My most recent assignments have been helping organizations transition from fiscal sponsorship to independent 501c3s.

    Prior to consulting, I was a COO and CFO supporting organizations ranging from foundations to direct service NGOs.
