• Need help finding a new treasurer (all volunteer run Board of Directors)

Our Board of Directors is a all volunteer based Board that runs and puts on the local county fair. We have a great group in leadership roles on our Executive Board and the Board as a whole is made up of all different types of people who help with different aspects of our County Fair. We work closely with the 4H and FFA programs for our County Fair.<div>
</div><div>We have a great treasurer at the moment but she has recently stated that this is her last year in this role due to some board members being difficult and questioning everything that she does, be that how she keeps the books, why things are categorized a certain way, or where money is spent; we have audits regularly, she provides reports monthly, and we can account for every single penny that comes into or out of our accounts. She truly does a great job, especially for the roles all being volunteer based. Some board members just like to be difficult and stir the pot and this poor woman, unfortunately, has had enough of it. So… We need to replace her. A few of us on the Executive Board don’t know where to recruit someone who is passionate about the agriculture industry, 4H and FFA and financially savvy enough to take on this role. Are there outside companies that can perform all of the treasurer duties? Like taking in cash and counting it, making deposits, attend monthly meeting, write and distribute checks, and so on? </div><div>
</div><div>Looking for any advice that could help us figure out this situation because she will be resigning in the next 2 to 3 months.</div>
