Jeff, yours is such an important point on the need for reserves being dependent to some extent on types of funding. Jon Pratt wrote a piece years ago which we want him to update called Analyzing the Dynamics of Funding: Reliability and autonomy which can be found here https://nonprofitquarterly.org/analyzing-the-dynamics-of-funding-reliability-and-autonomy/ which gets at the “it depends” nature of various revenue sources. But, again, I think you have surfaced some very interesting points about diversity within revenue pools for instance.
