Sales Manager

The Nonprofit Financial Commons (NFC) is a peer-led knowledge-sharing platform and a leading resource for nonprofit finance professionals. We provide valuable content through webinars, newsletters, and a comprehensive library of resources focused on nonprofit finance. Our mission is to support an engaged community of nonprofit finance leaders and others to share knowledge, ideas, and experiences. We are seeking a driven Sales Manager to help us expand our sponsorship and advertising partnerships.

 

Position Overview: The Sales Manager will be responsible for securing sponsorships across all NFC platforms, including webinars, website advertising, newsletters, and more. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in sales, particularly in securing sponsorships and partnerships within the nonprofit sector. As a contract employee, you will work independently and be compensated on a 20% commission basis for all sales generated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and reach out to potential sponsors for NFC webinars, website, sponsored emails, and newsletters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies and organizations.
  • Create and present compelling sponsorship and advertising proposals that align with client objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with NFC’s Director of Engagement to ensure sponsors receive maximum exposure and value.
  • Track and report on sales activities, maintaining accurate records of prospects, leads, and closed deals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify new sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in sponsorship acquisition and advertising sales.
  • Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and familiarity with nonprofit finance topics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
